Happy Independence Day!
The 4th of July is not just a Day To Celebrate Our Independence from England, but Rather it's a Day To Celebrate Our Independence From Bad Governmental Systems.
When we talk about Independence Day, what is it that America was independent from? A tyrannical system of government. That’s what Independence Day is about. Being free from a tyrannical system. One controlled by a few, over many. America’s new system - a Constitutional Republic - was the first to really attempt to give that power back to the many.
Think about all the systems that govern over our lives today. Notice: the better they are, the better your life is under them. From work, to school, to the cell phones in our hand, to the transportation systems we use everyday. Systems matters. Now think about the systems of government. Make you cringe? Me too. Because government has been corrupted, and a corrupted system hurts those using it.
So much about the way we feel about life comes as a result of the systems we allow to govern over us. When America ushered in this new system was it perfect? No. But it was designed well enough to evolve.
Modern critics of America like to point out that many of the people who founded this country partook in horrible things. And it is true, they did. But there is another truth. Every other system on Earth also had those horrible things happening, and many additional things excessively worse (like torture, and death without trials -off with your head! - etc etc). As time passed, America’s new system proved its value by correcting course. It adapted, contemplating itself with open debates, protesting, and a trustworthy voting process. In the end the system helped abolished slavery. It included women in the voting process. The system introduced child labor laws, built massive infrastructure, and helped pull tens of millions of people out of extreme poverty.
The system remained the best this planet has ever seen for well over 200 years. People were willing to uproot their lives and move their families across the world for just the chance to live under this beautiful system - one that allowed for freedom of expression, freedom of trade, freedom to grow to potential, and freedom to have a voice - a say - a vote in how people were being governed. The Statue of Liberty became a beacon of hope to millions of people.
So when you celebrate on the 4th of July today what you are celebrating is THE BEST GOVERNMENTAL SYSTEM THAT HAS EVER EXISTED ON THIS PLANET - and all the people who made sacrifices to keep it in place.
Some people talk about wanting to dismantle the whole thing because it is corrupted right now, and people are getting hurt and they are angry. They are upset at the pain the system is causing them. They want to tear it all down. But that would cause even more pain. If the system breaks a lot more people get hurt.
So those people are wrong.
That’s not what you do. If it is the best system that has ever existed in the history of the world - you look at that system and you try to improve it. Really you have to look where the corruption is. Look where the system has been corrupted, and then decide: what is the best plan to prevent this corruption from happening? How do we shield our system from corruption?
And we already know the answers. It’s transparency. It’s using technology to hold representatives accountable (like we wrote about a few articles ago here). It’s decentralization. It’s getting all the people - the people from the left and the right - but more importantly those in the middle - the “radical centrists” as Tim Kennedy likes to call them - getting them all to focus on it. How can we come together and fight for a common thing that all of humanity should agree on? Let’s work together and protect the systems that govern our lives from the obvious corruption that is happening.
Let’s rationalize. Let’s strategize. Let’s work together.
It will be worth it.
Happy Independence Day!

As always the entire purpose of this is to connect with other solutions-minded people like yourself! For 4 billion years on this planet there were only single-celled organisms. Then one day they somehow learned to work together and make complex multi-celled creatures like you and me. Right now we are like those single-celled organisms. Our next evolution is finding how to work together, better.
In order to build the world we want to see we will need technology to help us. Please join the upcoming discussions in this group on the blockchain based social media platform called MINDS. There is no algorithm or censorship on this platform. Just the free exchange of ideas. The group was recently started but if we can get a few like-minded people working together, maybe we can be the catalyst that leads to a post scarcity world. HERE IS THE GROUP ON MINDS.
If you enjoyed this topic we explore it in several other articles we wrote here, here, and here.
Thanks for problem solving with us, you beautiful, rational creature.
COMMENTS ARE FOR EVERYONE AS A PLACE TO DISCUSS SOLUTIONS. They will never be for paid subscribers only and we will never charge a subscription.

I still have not figured out how the money or anything works: I don't have crypto and I don't want to post more than that online. I mentioned this before. everything takes time as you well know !
