Honor Intellectual Courage. Ridicule Intellectual Cowardice.

If you always agree with everything a group or label agrees with, you are not thinking for yourself.

It doesn’t matter how smart you are, if you don’t have intellectual courage then you don’t deserve respect.

Each problem should be taken one at a time, unattached to any group, label, party, or ideology. When solving problems in groups (like collective intelligence swarms), labels are a big problem. In fact, they are the main problem. Labels lead to echo chambers, which leads to groupthink which leads to tyranny. In that order.

As good problem solvers we should disavow self-labels that don’t come with merit or serve immediate scientific purpose. You are a beautifully unique person. Let that uniqueness shine without having to label yourself.

If everyone did this, solving problems in groups and collective intelligence would be light years easier. Labels divide. The people in power know this and constantly try to assign them to the people. A label is what begins the process of US vs. THEM.

Be courageous enough to disavow labels. And become a better problem solver as a result.
