Let’s take a break from our unified daily quest to fix our corrupt system, and instead enjoy a reflection on music.
Every once in a while I will hear a song that stops me in my tracks. I came across such a song yesterday. The moment reminded me of my childhood best friend’s father. He loved music. He had these big headphones with an insanely long spiral cord that went all the way back to the stereo on some different floor somewhere in his house. I imagined this cord was 100 feet long. I never met someone who just sat there smiling and enjoying life as much as he did. He reminded me of some esoteric master who had achieved an enlightened state of bliss. Just a pure happy soul. Sometimes, when I hear a song that really rolls through me, it reminds me of him. Well I heard one like this yesterday and thought I would share it.
I enjoy music with no boundaries. I am a fan of beautiful art no matter what the genre. This is a more modern genre of music that maybe you have never given a try. Or, maybe this is right up your alley like it was mine. I imagine just how difficult it is to compose a song as complex and variable as this one is. The video is stunning as well.
We are all responsible for the energy we bring to every situation. Music is a tool to help us control that energy; music can absolutely effect the energy within us. Not in some esoteric way, but rather a tangible one. One that can radiate into a memory 25 years later and still bring a more than just a smile to my face.
Enjoy!
One last note: My friend’s dad passed away when we were teenagers and he wasn’t even 40 years old yet. But because my hundreds of memories of him are all the same - him smiling and listening to music with giant headphones on and nodding his head hello to me from behind that smile - when I think of him I never get sad, I just smile like he always did. His energy is still contagious, decades later. I also smile because he did first. And, because what the caterpillar calls the end of life the master calls a butterfly.
As always the entire purpose of this is to connect with other solutions-minded people like yourself! For 4 billion years on this planet there were only single-celled organisms. Then one day they somehow learned to work together and make complex multi-celled creatures like you and me. Right now we are like those single-celled organisms. Our next evolution is finding how to work together, better.
In order to build the world we want to see we will need technology to help us. Please join the upcoming discussions in this group on the blockchain based social media platform called MINDS. There is no algorithm or censorship on this platform. Just the free exchange of ideas. The group was recently started but if we can get a few like-minded people working together, maybe we can be the catalyst that leads to a post scarcity world. HERE IS THE GROUP ON MINDS.
If you enjoyed this topic we explore it in several other articles we wrote here, here, and here.
Thanks for problem solving with us, you beautiful, rational creature.
