The one thing missing in our society right now is trust. Right now there’s almost no trust in our institutions… in our government… in our schools… in medicine… There’s a lack of trust all around everywhere, and there’s a way to fix it. The way to fix it is two ways: one is with transparency, and the other is using technology to ensure that transparency.
We’ve talked about this many times before (like here, here, and here) there’s different kinds of technology we can use Blockchain, open source, to really make the trust happen, and then use that technology to help us govern. Whether or not you see that - it’s not relevant. It’s definitely possible. We could do it. We as a society could make that choice to do it. To force our politicians to be transparent. And honestly, what we should really do is just get rid of politicians and just nominate someone from our communities and say, “Hey listen, you’re somebody we trust. Here’s a bunch of technology we are going to use to help you govern. You really don’t have to do anything. The only thing that matters is that we trust that what you show us is gonna be real. And go in there and show us what’s going on so we can fix all this corruption that’s happening, because...
The corrupt system is our big problem.
And it’s being corrupted by people that don’t have our best interests in mind. We don’t have to allow this. We don’t have to allow it. We’re allowing it because we don’t believe that we can work together. But there are ways to work together that we’re not even thinking about yet. We’re not even trying. We can decentralize and work together and really fix it…
If you don’t see that, that’s not the point. It’s hard to see. It takes a lot of effort to see (like we wrote about here, here and here).
But imagine that what I’m telling you is true. wouldn’t you want that to happen?
And if that’s true, well then let’s do something about it. Instead of just talking about problems, let’s talk about solutions and do something about it.

For 4 billion years on this planet there were only single-celled organisms. Then one day they somehow learned to work together and make complex multi-celled creatures like you and me. Right now we are like those single-celled organisms. Our next evolution is finding how to work together, better.

If the goal is to "decentralize everything", then I think we should apply this principle to the resistance as well. Centralized political movements are easy to crush. But millions of people fighting back everyday *through lifestyle choices* presents a much tougher opponent for the state.
This is not to say that things can't eventually evolve into what you've outlined here. But that's far in the future, and I worry that we're putting the cart before the horse. Our immediate priority should be to fix ourselves and try to influence people close to us. If millions of people did this, then this would be a very different war.
So what can the average 64 year old woman do other than live her life accordingly?
