Agree! The powerful have corrupted our politicians through financial rewards. It’s not just at the top, it’s also at the local level.

I think transparency and we need a checks and balances that the people can trust.

We see that the media can be corrupted.

We see that our political parties can be corrupted.

Obviously our corporations can be corrupted.

Part of it is the unquenchable greed of our system and the need to beat quarterly profits but never looking at how does this effect 10/20/30 years down the road for our business, our customers, our country?

Amazon is the number 1 employer right now and the former CEO and founder is living like Lex Luthor and just built a spaceship while his delivery drivers have to go to the bathroom in bottles on the go. And yes they are paying 15$ but that is barely a liveable wage. And they don't get benefits the way my grandfather received and you need a two household income to survive which makes child rearing so unstable.

Imagine they split the billions in profits with employees and spent a percentage on infrastructure that they use in excess of compared to other companies.

It would hurt quarterly profits but it would set an example for what we should be doing.

Anyways greed is at the heart of these problems and I agree transparency will help, but it is going to take a lot of people to pay attention and it will be an uphill battle.

That being said I thought ubi was fringe 4 years ago now it's widely discussed.

So the needle can be moved.
