A New Declaration of Independence is Possible
Independence from the Corrupt Systems That Have Taken Over
If we wrote a new Declaration of Independence today - one that freed us from corrupted systems - what would it look like?
Most of them were kids, Hamilton was 21, James Monroe 18, Aaron Burr was 20. Our country was built on the courage of young people standing up against corrupt systems. Today on July 4th we honor that here in America.
Was America built perfectly? No. But it was built to error-correct and protect individualism. And over time it did just that. Fixing many of the original flaws as it evolved.
But our systems today have become fully corrupted by financial gangsters and war mongers. And we need courage once again to stand up to these corrupt systems. Today as we honor the 1776 declaration for better systems we should consider once again that a new declaration is possible. We don’t have to play by the rules of corrupt gangsters any more. Fixing this corruption is the one thing that should unify us all — we should all want the systems that govern over our lives to be free from corruption.
At the close of the Constitutional Convention Ben Franklin remarked that America was…"A republic, if you can keep it." This statement underscores the idea that maintaining the republic requires active and ongoing participation, vigilance, and courage by its citizens. Choosing party lines is not the answer. Making better systems is.
