Capitalism is about ownership of capital, the control that ownership confers, and how that ownership is legitimized. Ownership itself has been hijacked by financialized capitalism—the antithesis of collectivism. This system turns money into a proxy for ownership, then—through its control of money creation and the institutional methods for storing surplus—centralizes and entrenches hierarchical control over property.

How, by whom, and through what mechanism is money created?
And how is the accumulated surplus (represented as money) stored? To build new stronger more stable and sustainable systems by which to define, exchange and create value to be exchanged a strong, stable and sustainable foundation is of paramount importance! Excellent essay. If we're going to make the positive changes we want, we need to redefine our terminology. Leave the socialist and capitalist terminology behind, as they are burdened with negative baggage.
The following is an idea of how to enhance the concept of "collective capitalism."
The Private Membership Association (PMA) creates a private space between members , and with the exception of criminal activities, one that is not subject to government regulation or interference. Think of it as creating you own country.
However, even within the PMA, members might want to form a "business." If they do, and they form a "corporation", they are back in the public space. Not good.
To get around this issue, Common Sense for the 21st Century describes a new structure that falls within the PMA, and it is called a "Private Members Collaboration (PMC)." A PMC might differ from "Collective Capitalism" in that there are no passive investors, which form the parasite class.
In a PMC all collaborators are active in promoting the interests of their collaboration. There is a worker selected management structure, there are the workers themselves, and then there are the stewards. The stewards are actively involved in promoting the interests of the collaboration, its products and services, and for the collective intelligence of the collaboration.
A "collaboration" with the described characteristics, is a far more powerful entity than a corporation. Why? Passive investors are extractors that pull out more than they invest in the long term.
Active stewards, on the other hand, are the lifeblood of the enterprise. They reinvest their time, labor, and loyalty directly into the collaboration. Unlike passive investors who extract value for personal gain, stewards inject value through active participation, shared risk, and collective intelligence.
The word "steward" also denotes a responsible cultivator and protector of the collaboration’s mission, products, and people. Management directs, workers execute, and stewards ensure the entire enterprise remains faithful to its purpose and its members. It’s a threefold office that mirrors the organic order of a household, a guild, or a community. It speaks to permanence, loyalty, and a higher standard than mere profit.
Absolutely! We need decentralized capitalism! Capitalism for the common people. The most effective approach to achieve this is to eliminate fiat money (return to the gold standard).
Every individual (who desires freedom) must buy gold and build their wealth in something that retains value. Fiat money and the increase of it results in the devaluation of the fiat money, this crushes the common person who is unable to invest and get rates of return that exceed the inflation rate.

I agree that authoritarian Marxism doesn't work, nor does ANY KIND of authoritarian system that forces conformity and/or any type of a non-merit-based hierarchy on the population, including "majority rule".
The incredibly simple test is: does your system require violence to exist?
I do agree that some form of competition and reward will always be necessary to drive innovation, but this needs to be done kindly and humanely, as in your basic needs and survival should NEVER depend upon it.

Violent authoritarianism and non-merit-based hierarchies are currently enormous problems in our world, and they are completely incompatible with basic humanity, regardless of the political and economic system they may triumph.

Try to go freedom & liberty in as many things as humangly possible, then if you hit a roadblock, THEN pull the PMA card. I mean, ultimately you can do what you want, but as for MYSELF that's what's I'm doing. I got my "PMA CARD" in my back pocket ready to be pulled ONLY IF NEEDED. One of the FIRST things the freedom movement needs to do is get AWAY from public "education". And here's the thing - at least in "amerikerrr" you can the vast majority of the time just GET AWAY - you can go private brick & mortar route or homeschooling route and no government agent will come "git cha" - you just simply DO IT - and how do I know this ?? Because I homeschooled my son from 1992 to 2006 and it worked out GREAT - my son got a full college scholarship because homeschooling flipping WORKS. And guess what ?? NO "PMA" required. So many freedom & liberty things you can do and NO "PMA" required. I hope I'm flipping making sense. I think the KEY to a new freedom society that actually works is keeping things as simple as possible. I do realize the new crop of "freedom minded" people are geared towards geeky high tech stuff and I notice they tend to emphasize "high tech". Look mawn, "high rech" is cool and all, but it might be a good idea to be able to function on "low tech" as well, you know in case the satellites go out or the internet goes out or the electricity goes out.
Codes of conduct ; I was in one of the first 10 B corps. We did measureable good for the community, the environment and our employees. It was better than not being a B corps. Our first impact fund invested in Better World Books where the mission reduced the cost of goods because people gave us used book trusting we would fund literacy. It worked and the mission was baked into the business model. I am not sold on a code of conduct as a meaningful lever

Who owns the energy source that powers your servers?
Who owns the water generation for your members?
