If we know that protecting the trust of the system is priority #1, we shield it with the best disinfectant: total transparency. The reason decentralized systems like Bitcoin remain uncorrupted is because every node in the system can examine it at anytime. A transparent ledger. This is possible with everything if it is our goal.

I'm sufficiently impressed to subscribe.

However I think the argument here is flawed.

SOME questions are answered better by a crowd than by an individual, like "how many beans are in this jar", and to a remarkable extent.

But other questions are not, particularly if the crowd has been subjected to lies e.g. What would the "hive mind" answer to "should we take the vaccine" have been?

Even if you form a swarm of people who agree on one issue, there will be other issues on which they are divided.

Nevertheless, people need communities, now more than ever.

We disagree with this. We think swarming would have navigated the vaccine issue much much better than what we actually did. Transparency is a priority in a swarm and we had none of that. The swarm would have demanded it.

Did you know the Australian Aborigines use consensus government. They discuss and investigate problems seeking better data and understanding until EVERYONE agrees on the path to take. I like that idea a lot and it looks like this Human swarm intelligence may indeed be a potential way to start to harness this power.

A social contract is only stable if everyone wants to abide by it. Well if everyone agrees to each point because they all have good data and are ethical humans you can add the minimum of rules required for community life and let people do what they want with the rest of their time. Almost everyone would agree that we should not murder other humans and the consensus would be found (promptly) and that could become a rule. As for should people be allowed to have more than one life partner might be harder to find consensus on so could not become a rule, some guidelines might reach consensus such as all partners must consent and the rights of children will be placed as high as those of the life partners.

This may turn out to be the foundation of the new humanity.

So happy that you see the potential we do as well. No system will be perfect right away. But we can swarm the systems and improve them. We can use Unanimous AI and VOY to make better more trustworthy versions of themselves. It creates an insane rabbit hole of possibilities.

The majority did not vote for Hitler. The Nazi won with less than 50% of the vote. Had they used a swarm the Nazis likely would never have made it into power.

Also in future articles we describe how to avoid echo chambers and groupthink by avoiding labels. This has already been shown. Solving problems in groups needs to start with the problem and let people in the group all come up with creative answers and find the best answers. This is way different than letting two parties come up with centralized binary answers we vote on as a group.

Harnessing wisdom from crowds is real, but can be dangerous. Just like nuclear power or electricity. Your fear is founded, it is just a solvable problem.

Thank you so much for all your comments. I agree that many heads could solve a technical problem better. Yet, history has shown time after time, that the crowd doesn't find correct moral answers when in pressure, fear, etc. For example, after the 9/11 psy-op the majority in the USA was in favor of the invasion of Iraq, after the 10/7 psy-op, the majority of the citizens of Israel were in favor of retaliation on Gaza:

Get the murderers out of government: force masons to self-identify by law under severe penalty (their oath doesn't forbid self-identification, also, evil oaths are void). Freemasonry is the church of Lucifer. “Separation of church and State” requires eliminating the freemasonic demono-cracy over Government (theocracy comes from “theo”, God, “cratos”, power, but this has nothing to do with God, but Satan and his demons, so it’s a demono-cracy).

So I really like this idea however the majority of the population has been demoralized over the past few generations through psychological warfare/propaganda. They have literally been indoctrinated into a cult and “drank the koolaid”. They are UNABLE to judge right from wrong - they simply obey.

I’m not interested in associating myself with a hive where the majority cannot differentiate between right and wrong. “The people” need way more than just access to a mode of free and open communication, they need a complete mental reset.

If you can guarantee that people participating in the hive have morals, then count me in. Otherwise, I’m moving as far away from populated areas as possible. I’d rather take my chances with the great outdoors and God’s HUMBLE creatures.

Setz, is intelligent, naive and overly impressed with himself. Humans use "swarm capabilities" all the time unconsciously. Perfect example is all those individuals who read a Substack (whether all the way through or not) and then scroll through comments. They are unconsciously processing all the data points from individual comments, relative to what they know about the article, then collating and assessing the likelihood of each possible "solution", perspective, etc. Humans ARE AI.

Which is exactly why swarm works. Voy etc are processing the final stage of swarm. The humans are already doing the initial AI work.

Setz gamifys a concept that needs altruistic "players" to actually work effectively. If people are incentivised for use, then there is only one inevitable production of use- classism.

Great article btw😉👏👏 Bit biased but hey it's a Sub, your house your preference😉👍😊

Thanks for the reply and for thinking about this topic with us.

We didn’t get that impression of Setz at all (except for him being highly intelligent). In fact we thought he knew what he didn’t know, and was pretty open about it. Maybe our splicing of the article made it seem a way he wasn’t, and if that is the case we apologize to him.

As for the gamification leading to classism because of the incentives- that could happen. But when you lay out the possibilities we just don’t see it. The way you earn money in that system of VOY is as whole swarms, not as individuals. And swarms are most effective not by those who collect the most capital, but by those who specialize in each hive subject. A fraudulent or nefarious swarm will be obvious.

As for your first point, we agree humans already do swarm in many different ways. But the point is we have technology to make super highly aligned swarms that work ultra fast and are lock tight secure and also build trust between people. Also ones that hold our current corrupted systems in check

Swarming doesn’t need altruist players. Swarming is just a tool. It could be used for good or bad. Each swarm can have its own rules, it’s own code, it’s own objective. But because it is so transparent and in the future will be decentralized- and because of how answers are achieved, you would have to believe that most of the world wants to do bad instead of good in order for swarming to not be mostly a positive sum game.

If you are right and there aren’t enough people with good intentions to live on this planet together, than even attempting to fix the system is lesson in nihilism. Why bother? But we think the evidence points strongly the other way. Look at all of the media companies. People realized they were corrupted and now they lost 80% profits in a half of decade and everyone is turning to the semi-decentralized outlets of podcasts, YouTube, and social media. Or look at the growth of Bitcoin, or Substack, or any of the pseudo-decentralized entities. People want better.

No one has been able to fully prove this yet, but the evidence points to this: the bigger the swarm, and the more diverse the opinions are in the swarm, the more naturally altruistic the answers will be.

But I guess we shall see.

For us, this is the best path forward to fight the soft war we find ourselves in. The centralized elites vs the decentralized swarms of humanity.

We better learn how to swarm responsibly.

Expand full comment

Cheers to the considered response, especially in light of the generally positive consensus on the topic, rather contrary to my commentary. The proof of concept has merit (Im not saying its not) and I think we can all agree that the current systems are beyond lacking, need to be removed, and I would even say actively causing harm. BTJMO.

But replacing a system with a new system (regardless of how "decentralised" catch phrase of the 90's silli-con technocracy*), especially when attempting to consider humanity holistically- well that just seems redundant. Some say "systems" breed collusion and swarms being no different, others say cooperation not collusion, potato, potaahto!😉 Manmade systems, no matter the pretty intentions, are corruptible, because WE are corruptible. Probably a tad more existential than the subject warrants but it is a philosophical topic. The discussion of 1 person's (or multiple people) view of what "system" is required for the better management of humanity.😐 Call me an anarchist (in the true sense of the word), but Ive never met a system that has or retained its humanity intended dream. Or one I liked being in for that matter!

Your mention of "Specialisation of Subject" - um, well the last couple of hundred years has shown what results of "specialisation of subject. How will a swarm's be less classisist, groupthink vunerable? Genuinely curious, as I see only this equating to lots of tiny silo's, and silo's never produce productive, real-world solutions.

Yes people of the world have/are rejecting archaic media (tv, newspapers/radio) in favour of semi-decentralised information sources (Youtube, X, Meta, podcasts), but that is simply a changing of the guard, old censors become new censors and the masses are still controlled. They just have the illusion that they are choosing new paths. To coin a 80/90s philosophical haiku- "Same $#!@, different day"- author unknown. Or my favourite- history repeating itself. 😉

The swarm may be the answer to the worlds problems. Or it may not. Its worth trying either way, 'cos frankly, as you pointed out, we are in a war not of our making, but I guess the concerns from me, are what stop-go or IFTTT programming is in place to tell the "architect" whether his grand dream is on track or actually making stuff worse!🤨🤔😉

Regardless, Im looking forward to following the (de) evolution, so I hope The Rationlist will keep covering Setz and Co progress.🙏

Hi there! Figured I'd jump in to respond to a few points that were thought provoking:

- I agree with you that we naturally operate in a swarmlike way all on our own and often! I don't know if my responses gave you a different impression, but from the article, I did mention: "The ‘Wisdom of Crowds’ effect has happened many times throughout human history."

- I don't know if I agree that humans are AI- I think maybe better to qualify that we are general intelligences? We're organic not artificial so I don't see how we'd fit the classification of AI.

- The classism comment is absolutely a valid concern and one I've thought about at length. I can't claim that it's a solvable problem, but I think anyone reading this would agree that we can build better systems than the ones we have now. I don't think what I'm building is 'perfect,' but at least it starts from a place of wanting to fully decentralize and create a trustless wisdom economy so that the very maximum amount of people can be employed as possible.

As for whether I'm impressed with myself, I have inattentive ADHD so anytime I can string together a finished thought, I suppose I am pretty impressed with myself 😂

In all seriousness though, I've put 5 years of my life into HSI not because of my own importance but because I'm convinced of the work Dr. Rosenberg has done, and I've seen the same effect work myself in things we've built. But as LeVar Burton would say in Reading Rainbow, "You don't have to take my word for it." The evidence that HSI works and is powerful is now very well documented. So building software around this concept, to me, is a good thing for humanity. I don't want Unanimous and Voy to be the only ones doing it- I hope we see more enthusiasm around the promising possibilities of HSI!

Cheers, Setz

We LOVE your thinking.

Absolutely 100%. - trust is key on the internet. We have solutions to this as well.

Did the constitution go anywhere? We are swarming within the confines of the Constitution and the judicial system.

However, each swarm could have its own set of trust parameters. So some might require a face to face meeting to join a swarm, or to work for a company, or to use a verification code send by postcard to a land address. Other swarms might allow anonymity. Trust is an issue everywhere on the internet and one of our favorite topics to consider.

Have you considered decentralized peer to peer trust rating systems? Maybe like trust tokens that you can only give to others on blockchain, and then add a review? Like Amazon or Ebay users use, but on a transparent ledger?

" Search Engines have resulted in, of course, an information explosion comparable to other internet fundamentals like the web browser or email.”

Was that assumption written years ago? I ask because the information explosion has died, in case you have not noticed. Dissenting voices, alternative ideas, novel thinking in general is censored and removed from sight. Huge numbers of thinkers have lost their websites and have been hounded off social media. I speak, of course, from bitter personal experience.

Swarming would depend on uncensored access to all opinions and ideas. It would also depend on engaging everyone, not just the few who might be keen to be heard.

If you read Gaddafi's Green Book you find a form of bottom up democratic governance which worked beautifully in Libya, enriching the entire nation and resulting in huge projects to green the desert.

Note the way that Libya was treated by NATO and the UN. All bombed back to the dark ages. It was evil.

Integrating a swarm AI system for a large purpose (such as in making military decisions or governance) would prompt tremendous resistance unless it's directly controlled by some larger entity. The greatest rejection would probably come from those who distrust intelligence and the already powerful who don't want to lose control. Naturally, governments would consider themselves the rightful owners and (quite dangerously) moderators of such technology.

I'd personally reject using a tool like this. This tool would be promoted as the great mediator. It fuses the "facts" of our world with our individual beliefs to build and deploy a great future. That's a great idea, but we can't let someone like, say, our federal government own the technology. It's well documented how the US federal government regulated sites like Facebook during COVID, which promoted a plethora of things (not to mention, dishonesty) that destroyed countless lives. Imagine the tool in this government's hands.

I can only see this working if there were no owner. It'd have to be a self-sufficient system. So long as there are willing inputs, it exists. Having anyone ready at a keyboard to tweak data would compromise the system. Even then, isn't that necessary? No system is perfect. What if an objective fact isn't perceived as such by the AI. What can we do there? We may need somebody to step in and alter the data in this case. But doesn't that compromise the system? There are a lot of difficult questions in this front, some of which I spent a while this morning deliberating.

Overall, I consider this research a worthwhile endeavor. We must, however, be conscious of who or what operates this system, and what is capable of "teaching" or "controlling" it.

Fully understanding the difference between centralized and decentralized systems is the key where. Most people don’t understand it yet. If you take the time to understand it and still reject it, we would love to go over your rejection of the idea line by line then. Hi Zach thanks for feedback. Here is the thing, if you read our articles you know that we have as strong as distrust as anyone for centralized power. We DISTAIN IT. If we build these swarms as decentralized and transparent, we build trust. In fact there are many ways to build real trust online and we are working on articles about this too. We don’t necessarily agree with all of the current uses for swarming. We just see the potential it has IF we use it correctly. Trust can absolutely be systemic and we enjoy the opportunity to prove it in future articles. Until then let’s imagine it is as trustworthy and transparent as say… Bitcoin if you get that. I believe your words about the power and efficacy of decentralization. I've even learned to trust and incorporate more of it into my daily life over the last few years of reading these articles. Personally, I now depend on open-source intelligence a lot for questions and opinions. For instance, various subreddits and StackOverflow threads have probably taught me more about effective web development than work-based coursework over the last year. While not every response is great, there are more diamonds, than one would think. I've grown to trust this methodology of learning and communicating, and suggest it to those struggling to find information they seek. This is merely a flavor of a personal, decentralized system for obtaining information.

Now, do I believe this can be expanded to the great system you're suggesting? Honestly, I believe it can. I remember a while back, during a sparring break at BUMA, when you told me about Taiwan's Sunflower Revolution. I don't think you understood how important it was for me to hear that at the time.

I joined BUMA during my junior year of college. This year was fully-remote, and I was socially deprived for many months until I found the academy's incredible community. I hoped for my senior year to be a return to normalcy, but most of it was certainly not. For personal medical reasons, I was threatened on numerous occasions of being denied my education, I was denied entry to my professors' offices for office hours, I was denied access to prolonged student activities, etc. Best of all, my professors and peers agreed that it was the right thing. They agreed that I shouldn't be able to graduate if I refused to take nasal swab tests (despite how many times I wrote on the consent document that I didn't consent). Retaining lawyers against the school did nothing. Times were rough; my stamina was draining.

But, you taught me something powerful that day. Despite so many people around the world willing to submit to authoritarianism, there are still those out there today who are willing to fight—and ultimately win. My heart was renewed with hope.

I believe it would take time and, more perilously difficult, the constant supervision and force of the people as watchdogs for any decentralized system to work in the capacity you propose. There will be resistance—I have no doubt about that. Just as the White House forced Facebook to censor users and promote false narratives, I believe it will attempt the same for this. I wouldn't even surprise me if the federal government created an alternative system to rival a decentralized one. My chief concern is this: while this trustworthy, decentralized system is running (especially during its early, vulnerable days), will the people maintain the system's integrity from another entity's influence (like our friends from Taiwan), or will they relinquish and turn on each other (like the many I know from school)?

Again, I think we can do it. Birthing this system will require tremendous work, but I believe it's still feasible. I know many people from my senior year of college who regret their former beliefs, and are now against the former COVID narrative. The more revelations I witness, the more optimistic I am about the future.

Think: why did they force swabs when there was cheaper and more effective saliva tests? They used them to insert lethal substances, like radioactive technetium! which was detected in all swabs! Plus para-magnetic structures... carcinogen elements... etc.

It wasn't the US Government forcing Facebook, it was the masons in both working together.

What’s your best way to wake-up those who don’t want to open their eyes?

Please share your most effective wake-up strategies.

The more the awakened, the sooner this nightmare will be over!

For example, I start with this video (2 minutes):

https://odysee.com/@ImpossiblyWackedOutWorld:f/WTC-7-Free-Falling:8

(caveat: pot destroys your brain…)

9/11: two "planes", yet the third tower (WTC7) imploded like in a controlled demolition. It was out of reach and all 7 World Trade Center towers destroyed, not the closer towers not belonging to World Trade Center... and the owner, with his 2 grown up siblings, failed to show up for work (never skipped work before)… by the way, he first took an insurance policy for the WTC against terrorism, just months before, when no one was taking them. The inside information about the FUTURE 9/11 event helped masons make trillions by shorting the stock exchange: the records were deleted by the SEC so they wouldn't be prosecuted !!!:

Controlled demolition?

Why is 9/11 called a Pearl Harbor event? Both Churchill and Roosevelt were masons and plotted to get the reluctant USA into the war by provoking the Japs and letting Pearl Harbor (left the whole fleet defenseless and concentrated there as an easy candy to be taken from a kid, no radar warning from outer islands, etc.) and MUCH MORE:

Please read and watch all of this! Your life depends on it, because there's a plan to murder 95% of the global population by 2050… written on the masonic Georgia guide-stones: “Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 … ”

- J6: The fake riot was mason-planned, incited and guided by FBI agents, who broke into the Capitol !!! The same mason-plot was copy-pasted to disband the insurrection against the stolen elections in Brazil! All intel agencies (CIA, FBI, NSA) were founded by masons and are run by them for their own nefarious goals.

https://scientificprogress.substack.com/p/j6-what-you-need-to-know

It's such a mason manual that they organized the same J6 play in Brazil when it was proven that the voting machines owned by mason Soros, were rigged:

https://scientificprogress.substack.com/p/dominion-over-us

- At least since the 90s, vaccines are weaponized to reduce the population, for example:

1. Adding hCG to infertilize women: lab detected in 30 countries

2. Overpassing the FDA 10 ng limit to human DNA “contamination” by 2000%, thus causing neuro-damage (autism, asperger, tics, dyslexia in 29% of kids, etc.) and childhood cancer epidemic (n.b. leukemia, non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas)

- It's genocide for depopulation:

https://scientificprogress.substack.com/p/depop-vaccines-no-myth

- NOT a coincidence that the USA left dollar convertibility to gold in 1971, precisely triggering the government deficit coupled with the trade deficit and inflation.

This is the Achilles heal of all nations: masonic and satanic secret societies counterfeit paper money and launder trillions with which they buy Banks, a seat in the Federal Reserve (the only private run Central Bank in the world), political careers and parties, puppeticians, listed corporations, media, healthcare corporations and organizations, universities, foundations, etc.:

President John Quincy Adams: “Masonry ought forever to be abolished. It is wrong - essentially wrong - a seed of evil, which can never produce any good.”

If you are a mason or know a mason, ask him to ask his 33° master to put in writing and sign it, who is "the great architect" and that he is not Lucifer. If he refuses, then he’ll know who he is really serving, Satan: tell him to get out of masonry NOW. Sooner or later he’ll be required to trample on a cross to get to a higher degree.

The best way to have a real dialogue about vaccines being weaponized to handicap, infertilize and murder the “over-population” is to start with vaccine contamination: nobody could be in favor of contaminated pharmaceuticals.

1. Carcinogen SV40 in Oral Polio Vaccine: they knew it since the 60s but kept distributing it even until 2016 !!!

2. hCG in vaccines to infertilize women detected since the 90s: still going on

3. Thimerosal, aluminum, Mono-sodium Glutamate (MSG) and other NEUROTOXINS

4. Heavy metals

5. Human DNA 2000% in excess of FDA 10 ng limit (main driver towards brain damage like autism/asperger/ticks, leukemia and non-Hodgkin cancer), probably related to point 7 below.

6. Graphene oxide in Flu and COVID shots but now with anything injectable (even dentist anesthesia, hospital IV, etc.).

7. Carcinogenic SV40 genomic sequences and double-stranded DNA in mRNA COVID shots: the hacked DNA in the cell doesn’t stop producing the poison when the cell dies, but its descent continue the poisoning until the haccinated casualty dies.

8. Bluetooth nano-routers injected with COVID vaccines and inserted with swabs (which explains why they rejected the cheaper non-invasive saliva test).

Proof of criminal intent:

Points 7 and 8

Censoring and blocking 30+ COVID cures

Labeling the most lethal batches with a lethal code (howbad.info)

Blocking the real knowledge of effectiveness v. "adverse event" rate

That proves:

A. There's zero Government control

B. There's zero Manufacturer liability

C. There's zero Media coverage

D. All that, during decades and still going on, not only with vaccines but also with medicines, food&beverage additives, etc. Everything, even institutions have been weaponized!

E. There's zero political action to stop that (except RFK2 in the USA)

A school buddy told me "I know you make sense but if I recognize it's true, I won't be able to enjoy life anymore".

Or we wrote about Decentralization in fundamental terms here. All of your concerns, Zach, are 100% valid. But you are describing an existing system - which we agree isn’t good enough for humanity yet. But try not to reject the idea before giving it an in depth shake.

Thanks for the feedback it is appreciated sincerely. ✌️

Josh, are you on Nostr yet?

There are some interesting challenges that could probably use human swarm intelligence. Basically, how do you come to a consensus in a decentralized system that is moving (and innovating) at a fast pace?

I'm intrigued but I can't understand how it wouldn't end with a biased result. If you can bring both sides to the table it might work. But a certain side is triggered by words and won't play.

This is actually an important part of swarming. Difference of opinion.

We think you are referring purely to politics here. If that is the case you might be surprised to know that opposite sides actually agree on more than you might expect from what the media and internet tells us.

Run a swarm for abortion with 50 democrats and republicans and you get a reasonable answer for example.

Sure! the "reasonable" AI-mediated answer is: we should allow torture and live dismemberment of living human beings until 3 months of pregnancy. That keeps the majority happy... except the baby, who didn't get to vote on his own life!!!
