Joe Rogan Offers $100,000.00 Up To Debate RFK Jr. About Vaccines
If RFK Jr. Is So Wrong About Vaccines, Why Will No Experts Debate Him On The Topic?
Today Joe Rogan did something pretty out of character for him: He got into a heated Twitter Exchange.
By his own admission, Rogan usually “posts and ghosts” - AKA he makes a post and leaves and never makes a comment. But today was different. After Dr. Peter Hoetz called for internet censorship of Rogan’s recent podcast with Robert Kennedy Jr., Rogan responded by challenging Dr. Hoetz to debate RFK Jr. with a $100,000 donation to the charity of his choice as part of the enticement. The exchanges went like this:
A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON HOW IT STARTED:
Presidential Candidate, author, and a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Virginia School of Law, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast this week. If you are not familiar with him, he is the son of Robert Kennedy and the nephew of JFK.
Like many, we had heard the mainstream media attack RFK Jr. in the past over his stance on vaccines and autism, and also over the book he wrote about Anthony Fauci. But if we have learned anything in the past 3 years, it was that centralized media attacks probably meant that we should actually now give RFK Jr. a fair listen. For the enemy of our enemy, might be a friend.
So we did.
These were some of the takeaways:
His main Presidential platform rests on unifying both sides of the political spectrum. This was a refreshing change of tone to the constant call for divisiveness rhetoric from most other politicians. Together, he believes we as Americans can fight against corruption, against regulatory capture, and against the forces that try to divide us.
He vowed to end the corrupt merger of state and corporate power that threatens to impose a new kind of corporate feudalism on our country.
He believes we need a peaceful revolution against the corruption.
He believes in providing fertile ground for the middle class to flourish, and believes this is why Trump was so popular - because no candidates besides Trump were actually listening to the middle class. RFK Jr. believes the strength of America as a whole can be judged by the strength of the middle class. He also believes that the further the middle class shrinks and a divide into two classes of rich and poor emerge, the closer we are to totalitarianism being able to take root.
He holds a strong distrust for the three letter agencies (CIA, FBI, CDC, etc), and gave examples of how they seemed to be at odds with his father, and uncle before their assassinations. He believes they have been captured by corruption and offered solutions to this.
He wants to remove the stranglehold pharmaceutical companies have over the FDA and CDC, and remove the financial connections between them.
Similarly to how alcohol and tobacco are treated, he wants to stop advertisements for pharmaceutical drugs - which are the #3 killer in our nation behind heart disease and cancer.
He wants to get to the bottom of why all metrics of health and mental health seem to be going in the wrong direction, especially in children. If the CDC and FDA were doing a good job, these metrics should be going down, not up.
He wants to end the Ukraine war by having honest conversations about it, including all of the factors that lead up to it. He believes in talking peace talks with all nations involved to find a rational solution.
He held his party - The Democrats - accountable. Calling them the war mongers of today, and the stiflers of freedom of speech and expression - while in the past they had been the opposite. He spoke of a golden age of America, where Americans were proud and unified, and believed we could find our way back there again.
He wants to extinguish the military industrial complex’s stranglehold on politics and war and put America again in a position to lead the world not with force, but rather by initiating economically to the middle and lower classes of other nations, while leading by example. He believes China is doing this now by helping other nations build infrastructure, universities, and funding development there.
He supports Bitcoin, decentralization, and financial freedom (we learned this after the podcast, but wished they would have covered it).
He is an environmental lawyer, and believes we should all care about the nature that we share.
Rogan gave RFK Jr plenty of time to explain his stances on vaccines and autism as well, and also on vaccines in general. Of course these were the controversial areas that RFK Jr really spent some time laying out his position on - walking the audience through them.
What we came away with was this: If RFK Jr. is wrong, why won’t anyone debate him?
We believe that if you are not willing to debate your position - in anything - then you are either an intellectual coward or a manipulative liar (and likely part of something corrupt or even illegal). Science is scrutiny. After what we witnessed during the pandemic, shouldn’t we all be questioning these institutions and their motives? Shouldn’t we all be demanding better results and accountability? Shouldn’t we all be relentlessly demanding transparency? Shouldn’t we all be pushing for long-form debates and deep skepticism of all important topics?
In any argument if only one side is willing to debate, that side should automatically have more credibility until proven otherwise. Any side trying to silence or avoid debating should be eyed with heavy suspicion. This is why we advocate for transparency with such vigor. A willingness to debate is a willingness to be transparent.
RFK Jr. went on to describe how all of the debates he had previously been scheduled to participate in on the topic of vaccines had been cancelled on him, and he hasn’t been able to find anyone noteworthy to debate him on the topic in 19 years. He described a panoply of court cases he has won - or that have been won by others - in this area of law. He also - with an amazing recall ability - cites case after case and study after study supporting his claims. We have not had time to deep dive on all of them - and like all things we approach them with skepticism. But the ones we have looked into so far all seem to check out - at least on the surface.
At The Rationalist we live by the motto Nullius in Verba - take no one’s word for it. Under this premise ALL principles, ideas, conclusions, and studies should be the subject of heavy scrutiny. Good ideas will stand up to it. If your ideas are protected from scrutiny using censorship they can no longer be called “scientific” or even “academic.” Rather, they must be called dogmatic orthodoxy.
After this podcast, and looking into him some more, we did have a few tough questions we wanted to ask RFK Jr., or wished Joe Rogan would have. They are:
Describe your stance on nuclear power. In the past RFK Jr. has said nuclear power was too expensive, dangerous, and that we should focus on investing in other alternatives such as wind, hydroelectric, thorium, and geothermal. Granted he said these things a long time ago, so we would be curious if his stance has changed since then.
Please clarify your stance on Climate Change. We have heard some zealot-like quotes for his stance on it, and would like to know if there was a recent update on his view on it given that so many corporations - that he claims to stand against - are using it as a new control point over populations via the WEF.
We would have liked Joe Rogan to ask him about his two flights on Jeffery Epstein’s Lolita express. RFK Jr. has had Whitney Webb on his own podcast more than once (she is the #1 guest we wish Rogan would have on) - and Whitney has written what we believe is one of the most important books this century - One Nation Under Blackmail - where she explores Epstein’s entanglements and the corruption of our entire system by ruthless mob figures. In the book she dives into RFK Jr.’s flights with Epstein. We grabbed the following screen grab of her book from this video:
We also would like for him to expand on what he really believes happened to his uncle and father, even though he did take a quick dive into it during the Rogan interview.
At the very least, this podcast was a thought provoking and well done interview by Joe Rogan that we would recommend all problem solvers watch, examine, and try to break down each argument and position.
We would love to see someone debate RFK Jr. on some of the stances he seems well versed in, and if Dr. Hoetz is too cowardly or corrupted to partake, then maybe someone else who is qualified can step in.
Until then, we honor the brave people like RFK Jr. who are willing to have transparent debates and allow scrutiny to their ideas in broad daylight. Because that is the way a free society should function - with spirited debate.
Maybe this is can become a new way to expose the corruption. Offer money for no-time limit debates on important topics like this one. Disinfect the corruption with sunlight; expose all the charlatans and criminals who corrupt our system by challenging them to long-form debates, and watch them cower away. This might be an excellent way to out them all. Kudos to Joe Rogan for putting skin in the game to make it happen.
As the Twitter saga continues to unfold, we leave you with this… the full Joe Rogan episode:

THIS . . . was superlative!!! One of, if not, THE BEST synopsis's I've read!!!! And not only about the interview itself but RFK Jr's stance on everything! YOU should submit it to his campaign because his website is terrible! This really, really explained everything not only thoroughly but succinctly as well!!
I keep looking for the perfect bumper sticker and or yard sign and you've come up with some great wording to describe him! Thanks for all the effort and hard work that went into this!
He too needs to learn from it as he is way to verbose at times and doesn't answer questions directly (at first) but rather segues into the answer which makes him appear dishonest - which he is also anything BUT!!
Again this was excellent!!!
I agree with your views on this. Note Bill Ackman sweetened the debate pot by $150,000.
RFK Jr's position on nuclear power was touched on in the Twitter spaces RFKJr did with Elon. He was anti nuclear but seemed sheepish on the topic as if he knew he needed to do more study. The most interesting thing he said was that private industry would not provide insurance to nuclear power plants implying the risk is too high. He did not mention that the nuclear industry self insures through an industry wide pool. A plant cannot get a license to operate without membership in the pool.
