I suspect that at the end of the DOGE show we will have human facing systems overseen by AI with little recourse and no transparency beyond what the power structures want or allow you to see. And if what you propose is to occur, then the time is now. Transparent and decentralized systems must demonstrate their promise such that the power structure systems have no choice but to adopt. It’s obvious the general populace will not demand until they see what the centralized system actually does to them and then it may be too late.

I’m at a loss to see how this happens within the unfolding centralized systems time frame. The only thing I can imagine is personal, open source AI servant of free will able to negotiate with the centralized system because 99% of the populace can’t.

Transparency + an informed electorate + technology/systems to enable the first two terms of this equation. I can get behind that. More work is required for the electorate. We need better citizens.

Josh. I sent your last Substack not this one to a very brilliant scholarly young man (he is around 45) who wrote a book called "Economic Sovereignty" because I frankly had issues w/ it and I wanted a person who was your "peer" (he is also a A.I and has B.S, in Bioengineering, not my son) and his response to the"swarm" theory which is where I also have issues..but I do like a lot of your ideas in terms of SOME PROBLEMS. And NO, DOGE IS real. here is what my friend said: you may even know him. READ HIS RESPONSE with an open mind.. I was actually surprised how articulate he expressed himself w/ regard to your Substack, He is an excellent writer not on Substack, next post because tht will make this post too long,, coming right up

The trouble with that field is that it's a bunch of idiotic lawyers whose background is political science and they lack classical historical acumen that could inform them as to how to stop regurgitating the failed leftist policies of the past. They're always dressing up old ideas as new thing when they're not, conceptually and fundamentally. Throw in some STEMM technocrats who equally lack classical historical acumen, and you get things like synthetic democracy and collective swarm.

I would say his KEEN analysis because he like I (but younger) also are very tired of the entire world using biological "analogies" to express concepts which are clearly NOT BIOLOGICAL but I admit I agree with him; Thought you would appreciate his input. "Izzy"

Rebuttal:

Direct democracy uses binary voting methods. Collective intelligence starts with a problem and extracts the wisdom from crowds. There are better ways to solve problems in groups and this is testable.

While collective intelligence is agreeable and preferable, direct democracy can mean voting for any number of options - it just hasn't been done that way before afaik. Liquid Democracy is also interesting from a meritocratic viewpoint.

Abuse - aka corruption - can only come when a system is centralized. This is why a decentralized system is key. And understanding that when you decide to be a public servant you should be open to more transparency on your life. This is not true in a broad sense though. Most people want to do good. Over 95% would rather cooperate and collaborate instead of rip each other off. There are plenty of tests that show this. We need better systems to protect against the 5% and to help the 95% collaborate in a high trust environment.

Stop signing contracts voluntarily with the crime franchise and rescind all contracts. It's a start. Abdicating one's government for another hasn't worked in the past and no new system of re presentation won't work either.

(a)In determining the meaning of any Act of Congress, or of any ruling, regulation, or interpretation of the various administrative bureaus and agencies of the United States, the words “person”, “human being”, “child”, and “individual”, shall include every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development.

(b)As used in this section, the term “born alive”, with respect to a member of the species homo sapiens, means the complete expulsion or extraction from his or her mother of that member, at any stage of development, who after such expulsion or extraction breathes or has a beating heart, pulsation of the umbilical cord, or definite movement of voluntary muscles, regardless of whether the umbilical cord has been cut, and regardless of whether the expulsion or extraction occurs as a result of natural or induced labor, cesarean section, or induced abortion.
