The founder of the WEF's vision for totalitarian Orwellian control can be stopped with one of the opposite: A vision for decentralization, transparency, and freedom from corruption.
Perhaps we could focus on exposing and disabling the liberal-fascist agenda of the CFR/UN/WEF network rather than trying to build a parallel system. The existing machinery just needs a different control program, and a lot of folks are ready for a reboot.
Of course, this would require the right vision, and the right players to make it happen. But look at what Musk is trying to do with the "free speech" movement at Twitter right now. He could flip that back to something useful very quickly.
Are there existing open source collaboration platforms that already do ~60-70% or so of what you are envisioning? If so, is their architecture amenable to building out the missing functionality? Why re-invent the wheel if there's already a wheel that can be improved? It takes a huge amount of time and effort to start up a brand new FOSS project and gain enough traction for it to become viable. Much better to survey the available options and identify which one(s) are most viable. Then engage the existing dev teams and discover, at a technical/architectural level, whether trying to build out the missing functionality is possible, given the state of the codebases, and whether the dev team is even interested in the prospect. If a given platform is a good technical candidate but the development team isn't interested, but you can still generate enough interest in other developers, then a fork and re-branding might be in order....
No, not really. I think this would be a good thing for technically competent (from a dev perspective) folks to do a "first pass" search & research and then report a list of potential candidates for a more systematic review. If you're intending/wanting for it to be "block chain" based, then I would not be technically competent to make any reviews of that aspect of the project. I would recommend as many others as possible who are block-chain programming-literate make suggestions. I can look around a little on github, but before anyone spends any significant time surveying the FOSS project landscape, it would really be necessary for you and your primary collaborators on this project to write up a basic scoping statement w/ key requirements and a 2nd tier of nice-to-haves / eventual functionality goals. Really needs a dedicated web space, and should not be conducted via comments in a substack post either :)
I think it could start on web2. If designed with the proper mission statement it should always be evolving anyway. Migrate to blockchain as soon as possible to give people trust. But can start anywhere. Heck right now it exists in the comment sections of Twitter, substack and social media.
Where do we find a better place to discuss and more allies? We need a website like the one we want to build in order to build it. Mission #1 if you will.
This looks interesting, although it's probably lower down on the networking model than you were likely thinking of. But if you can't secure your network, you can't secure the communication app(s) that use it....
Do you mean Discord? If so, just be aware that it's not a completely free & secure space to chat. Neither is Telegram. A couple years ago I was a member of a very popular and well-run Discord channel devoted to prepping and it had 50 different "state rooms" where people could build "mutual aid" type network connections, and share info and tips. Didn't take too long for Discord to completely pull the plug on the entire channel - with zero recourse. That's why Open Source not hosted on any big tech platform is the only way to ensure you won't be shut down when "they" don't like what you have to say...
Permaculture fo reals. We need to be more accountable to the necessities of our physical existence. We need to remember the electricity networks and most tech networks need to have a reduction in use because they are backed by power sources that are centralised by nature. WAR and OIL.
Simple things, eat more vegies, ride you bike, by less but show of and share more. Grow trees that give food, fuel or fodder, eliminate and reduce debt.
All these things underpin a decentralised system and I have been doing it for 30 years and it is very comforting and it nurtures me and my family.
Resilience is small scale and flexible. Brittle is large and top down. Let's go people. Do one thing today that builds your own independence. Plant a vegetable or resist an unnecessary purchase or fix something broken that you use.
It is the best and most fun life. Making stuff and caring for it.
I listened to our German friend’s clip. He is clear about allowing countries to decide their own approach, whether like China’s or not. Surprised to hear those words, not that I believe them. What do you make of that?
I believe he is letting his cronies try to enact control in a variety of creative ways, to see which one works best. He is doing iterations to see what works. That is smart. We should be doing the same with decentralized transparent systems
I suspect he means he'll let national leaders decide what they want to do, national leaders who he has either been involved in the brainwashing of, or for whom he has compromised their cabinets so their colleagues will herd them towards Klaus's way of thinking regardless of what the leaders themself wants.

Agreed. We feel the WEF is pretty exposed already

Great suggestion. Do you have any in mind?

Thanks for input!

Maybe a slack channel or something like that for discussion, and basically any free/open source wiki software to start with would probably work
Was thinking Discourse too

Following!
Back at you.

Thanks! Platform idea is intriguing..
