It’s so strange living in a digital world where we just have to trust these mysterious systems to work. Due to not having a great understanding of how digital currency works, it all seems so nebulous. But then again using bank/credit cards, online banking bill payment, etc, it’s already become a cashless system, so it’s basically just numbers on digital devices already.

I definitely agree with your premise not to let the government interfere with crypto...the more parallel systems we have, the better.

It took some work to understand it but now I feel like it is the frontier of the war for freedom. The creators of crypto were fiercely libertarian

I completely agree. The whole point of crypto is to become independent of centralized institutions and regulations. Big exchanges go against this founding belief. I think that we should actually be happy that one failed.

But more generally, I would argue that becoming heavily involved in / worried about crypto is a red herring for most people. There are many other problems that deserve more immediate attention --
