Nothing specific, but plenty of things in my life. ;)

I do tend to own up when in the wrong. My conscience prefers this. Usually.

However if your opponent refuses to admit their flaws and engage on these terms then you may undercut your own argument, especially if misquoted later.

How can they admit their are wrong when "there's no such thing as 'truth', there's only your truth or my truth, and who is to say which truth is right or wrong"?

Who is "they" that you refer to? In this scenario there is the "I" and the "I" knows when mistakes have been made.

"Truth" is just a quest. Some people honor that quest. But others purposely deceive themselves and others. Honoring the quest is all that can be expected.

"They" is most people, maybe even you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relativism

If the "I" gets total authority to mark something as wrong or not, then all they have to do is mark your views above as wrong, and voila!

Why do you get to claim for everyone else that "truth is just a quest"? I for one don't buy that.

Why do you get to claim for everyone that there is no such thing as truth?

Point of order: you haven't answered my question or addressed my point yet. Can you?

(For the record, I do not claim that there's no such thing as truth; I'm talking about others who do.)

Good morning.. :) Deborah is right: what are we talking about here? Wrong about what? In my experience the person who admits they were "mistaken" in such and such an argument.. whether it be about "past decisions" .. or arguing about what happened to the cookies in the cookie jar.. is the person who is the more mature and thoughtful and cares about relationships.. well I didn't listen to the Video. Had a long day yesterday.. medical care.. and many phone conferences.. concerning decisions.. did not expect that. Not tired.. Sunday is a day for personal contemplation. have a good one. Josh

Hope you are feeling better! The video is only a minute long. Just as you said, Sunday contemplations.
