The problem is that laws made at the federal level effect us all. The real answer is FEWER laws at the federal level. The ability of individuals/groups to write legislation would turn the system into total chaos.

We can get there eventually, but this seems like an easier path to getting control of our systems once again

Sure, and after they are through packing them with all kinds of hidden garbage, nothing much has changed. We should get to vote on these bills and none can be greater than 100 pages.

You act as if those are unsolvable problems. They seem rather simple to solve, if we could get enough people behind them.

Bills should be limited to a single subject; not contingent on pork barrel additions and the blackmailing of bill sponsors.

We The People do have this power via Article V of the United States Constitution.

Elected citizens to watch the elected representatives. 🤔🤨 Because, those people wouldn't be able to be bought off and corrupted, right?

We could do this so many ways, that it would be very very hard to do so. Checks and balances. And it is just one suggestion. If you read more of our stuff we prefer completely leaderless societies, because yes, leaders are corruptible. This is our ideal model:

I like these ideas. In addition bills have to be transparently named such that language can’t be used to obscure their intent. They won’t be named by the politicians but by an independent commission perhaps in this new branch of government.

This looks good just as written. So how do we get it implemented? There will be FBI at the door before it goes anywhere I'm afraid. That won't stop me so lets go with it!

I believe it would require a Constitutional Amendment

I have been mulling Constitutional Amendments. Obviously term limits is under consideration. But how about basing redistricting on citizens only? This would remove the incentives for illegal immigrations, which I believe is the basis for allowing open borders. Not new voters, new congressional districts in urban areas. Also how about fixing the Supreme Court at 9, so we don't have either party threatening to add justices if they don't like decisions?
