In the view of many people, David Deutsch is the most captivating and profound scientific mind of our time – a living legend. If everyone were to adopt David's parameters for epistemology and knowledge creation, we believe our world would significantly improve. Here, David elucidates why humans play a crucial role in the universe, on a tangible level. To us, these scientific observations are so profound that they live somewhere near the philosophical realm where the spiritual and the scientific converge in wonder.
What truly is the purpose and capacity of humans in this universe?

We are very excited about our next article, where we will tackle the problem of solving trust on the internet… and in society as a whole.
Problems are everywhere. Problems are soluble.
Humans solve problems better in Swarms.
As always the entire purpose of The Rationalist is to connect with other solutions-minded results-driven people like yourself!
Thank you to all of the writers that make this possible. We are accepting guest writers, so if you have an idea for a solution, please reach out. Let’s solve it all, together.
For over 3 billion years on this planet there were only single-celled organisms. Then one day they somehow learned to work together and make complex multi-celled creatures . Right now we are like those single-celled organisms. Our next evolution is finding how to work together, better… (like we wrote about here).

Wow. ZERO COMMENTS.. actually I know why.. David Deutsch is brilliant and did take a look... at his utube TED talk. there is a HUGE BUT; and I will for sure come back to him. I read Steven Hawkins books and was NOT impressed at all. He is compelling but no I don't think he is the one most profound scientific minds of our time. I ran across some outliers in my research.. and that is why I write Science is Political. When I was studying physics and the ancient history of scientific study I can think of many examples which do no support his premises: I do however agree that Humans do play a crucial role in the elucidation and discovery of the parts of the Universe within our time continuum. I have spent years doing thought experiments about TIME and its constructs. The language of science is math making the transmission of these concepts even more difficult leading of course to the computer and A.I.. hoping that machine could solve some of the mysteries of the universe by massive number crunching. I would say and as usual: like a good friend of mine named his poety book: Out of time, Running. that the closest that we can get to understanding the Universe is by the Webb Telescope. sigh and there is my phone ringing. very fascinating. will take a longer look. So important that they feel the dire need to kill each other off. I really hope there are no other humans in the universe. Maybe beings who are more hopeful and rational.
