How Do We Build A Network Of People On The Same Mission: To End The Corruption Happening To Our Systems

And how can we make this network span party lines and cultural lines?

I came to an epiphany recently:

I would rather vote for someone who I disagree with on policy - but trust - than someone I agree with on policy but don’t trust.

When it comes to any system of people cooperating: Trust Matters Most.

What does trust mean? Well, if I trust you, that means for one I think you are a rational person. One example: you wouldn’t leave your kids with someone who you thought was irrational. So we shouldn’t leave our country in the hands of irrational people either. Also if I trust you it is almost always because not only are you honest, but also because you have offered up a level of transparency and vulnerability to me in order to earn that trust. And vice versa.

So, in order for us to trust our systems again the represented officials need to offer up new levels of transparency never seen before. The politicians willing to go the farthest seeking out transparency in government should be the ones we all choose to vote for. It is really that simple: transparency is the enemy of corruption.

Doing this would likely require a widespread movement of people in that direction. On the surface it doesn’t seem too daunting of a task, right? Every one of us should want the systems that govern over our lives to be trustworthy. So why is it easier said than done?

Imagine a massive movement of people think-tanking and action-planning and strategizing their way to fix the corruption, using constantly evolving transparency, technology, and decentralization techniques as their tools like we discussed here and here. There is a way out of this mess and it starts with realizing our root problem here is the corruption of the systems that govern over our lives. To fix that, we need to find better ways to unite and mobilize against this one problem.
